What is Settings?
The Settings page is your central configuration hub in Timer. It provides a clean, organized dashboard where you can quickly adjust personal preferences like language, time format, and week start day, while also giving you one-tap access to deeper configuration modules including Profile, Security, Notifications, Integrations, Subscription, and Data management. Every change you make is auto-saved so you never lose your preferences.
Pro Tip: The Quick Settings strip at the top of the page lets you change your language, time format, and week start day without navigating to any sub-page. Changes are auto-saved after a brief delay, and a confirmation indicator appears to let you know your preferences have been saved.
Key Features
Quick Settings Strip
Instantly toggle your language (English or Portuguese), time format (12h or 24h), and week start day (Sunday or Monday) from the always-visible strip at the top of the page.
Module Cards Grid
Six module cards give you quick access to Profile, Security, Notifications, Integrations, Subscription, and Data management. Each card shows a live status indicator so you know your current state at a glance.
Auto-Save
All quick settings changes are automatically saved to the server after a short delay. A visual confirmation indicator appears briefly to confirm your preferences have been persisted.
Data & Export Drawer
Export all your Timer data as a portable JSON file, import settings from a previous backup, or navigate to Privacy settings — all from a slide-out drawer panel.
How to Use Settings
-
1
Review the Hero Section
When you open Settings, the hero section displays your current subscription plan, security score, number of connected integrations, and overall system status. This gives you an instant health check of your Timer configuration.
-
2
Adjust Quick Settings
Use the Quick Settings strip to set your preferred Language (English or Portuguese), Time Format (12-hour or 24-hour), and Week Start Day (Sunday or Monday). Changes are saved automatically.
-
3
Navigate to Module Pages
Click any of the six module cards to open the dedicated configuration page for that area. Each card shows a live stat (e.g., profile completion percentage, security score, or connected integrations count) so you can prioritize which modules need attention.
-
4
Manage Your Data
Click the Data card to open the Data & Export drawer. From here you can export your entire Timer dataset as JSON, import settings from a backup file, or navigate to Privacy settings to control how your data is used.
-
5
Use the Danger Zone with Caution
At the bottom of the page, expand the Danger Zone to access destructive actions: Reset Personalization clears your onboarding preferences, and Delete Account permanently removes your account and all associated data. Both require explicit confirmation.
Settings Categories
The Settings page organizes your configuration into six distinct modules, each accessible from a dedicated card:
Profile
Manage your personal information, display name, photo, bio, website, and social links. The card shows your profile completion percentage so you know what is still missing.
Security
Review and improve your security posture. The card displays your security score calculated by the server, including password strength, two-factor authentication, and session management.
Notifications
Configure which notification types you receive and through which channels (email, push, or in-app). The card shows whether notifications are currently active or turned off.
Integrations
Connect and manage third-party services. The card displays the number of currently connected integrations, and the hero section mirrors this count for quick reference.
Subscription
View your current plan, manage billing, and explore upgrade options. The card and hero badge both display your active subscription plan name.
Data & Export
Export your complete Timer data as a JSON file for backup or portability, import settings from a previously exported file, or access Privacy settings to control data usage.
Best Practices
Complete Your Profile First
A complete profile builds trust with meeting guests. Check the Profile card for your completion percentage and fill in any missing fields such as photo, bio, and social links before sharing your booking page.
Maximize Your Security Score
Open the Security module and follow its recommendations to reach a high security score. Enable two-factor authentication, use a strong password, and review active sessions regularly.
Connect Your Integrations
Link your calendar, video conferencing, and communication tools through the Integrations module. Connected services reduce manual work and ensure meetings sync across all your platforms.
Export Data Regularly
Use the Data & Export drawer to create periodic backups of your Timer data. Having a recent export ensures you can recover your settings and meeting history if needed.
Set Time Preferences Early
Configure your time format and week start day in the Quick Settings strip as soon as you set up your account. These preferences affect how dates and times are displayed throughout all of Timer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are my quick settings saved automatically?
Yes. When you change the language, time format, or week start day in the Quick Settings strip, Timer auto-saves your preferences after a brief delay. A small confirmation indicator appears at the bottom of the screen to confirm the save was successful.
What does the security score in the hero section mean?
The security score is calculated server-side based on factors like password strength, two-factor authentication status, and session activity. A higher score indicates a more secure account. Click the Security card to see detailed recommendations for improving your score.
What happens if I reset personalization?
Resetting personalization clears your onboarding preferences and app recommendations. On your next login, you will be guided through the personalization wizard again. This does not delete your account data, meetings, or other settings — it only resets the onboarding flow.
What format is the data export file?
Timer exports your data as a JSON file named with the current date (e.g., timer-export-2026-02-15.json). This file contains your meetings, contacts, settings, and preferences in a portable, human-readable format that can be re-imported later.
Can I undo a Delete Account action?
No. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes all your meetings, bookings, meeting types, availability settings, integration connections, and every piece of data associated with your account. You must type DELETE to confirm this action.
