What is People?
People is where every contact lives — guests, leads, customers, vendors — in one place with a flexible role-based system. One person can hold any combination of roles as the relationship evolves. And because People writes to your shared memory, everyone here is someone Pallas already knows: every meeting, note, deal, and message stays attached to the person, so the full history is one click — or one question — away.
Memory, not just a list
When someone books a meeting they become a person with the 'guest' role automatically. From there, every interaction across Timer accumulates on their profile — so you (and Pallas) always have the context.

Customer

General contacts and professional connections
Vendor
Suppliers and service providers you work with
Signer
People who sign documents through Timer Signature

Best Practices
Keep Roles Updated
When a lead becomes a customer, add the 'customer' role. You can keep the 'lead' role for historical tracking.
Log Every Touchpoint
Recording calls, emails, and meetings helps you remember context and shows your team the full picture.
Use Notes Strategically
Add notes about preferences, important details, or conversation highlights for future reference.
Set Follow-ups
When logging activities, set follow-up dates to never let important contacts slip through the cracks.
Use Search and Filters
Quickly find people by name, email, or company. Use filters to narrow down by role, stage, or priority.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happened to Contacts and Leads?
People replaces both! Your existing contacts and leads have been migrated automatically. Contacts now have the 'guest' role, and leads have the 'lead' role.
Can one person have multiple roles?
Yes! A person can be a guest, lead, and customer all at once. This reflects real-world relationships where someone might book meetings AND be in your sales pipeline.
Are emails unique across users?
Yes, each email address is globally unique. If two Timer users have the same contact, they share the same person record but have separate notes, roles, and pipeline data.
What's the difference between People and the Sales Pipeline?
People with the 'lead' role appear in your pipeline. The pipeline view (Kanban) helps you manage the sales process with stages like Qualified, Proposal, and Won.
Can I create custom roles?
Yes! Go to Settings in the People app to create custom roles that match your business needs, complete with custom icons and colors.
