Forms is Timer's built-in form builder for collecting data from visitors, clients, and team members. Create contact forms, feedback surveys, event registrations, and more - then publish them with a shareable link. Every response flows back into Timer where you can review, filter, and act on submissions. Forms can also be linked to Projects so responses appear in the right context automatically.
Pro Tip
Link a form to a Project so that every submission is automatically associated with that project. This keeps client inquiries, feedback, and registrations organized alongside your tasks, files, and meetings.

Templates
The Templates drawer gives you quick access to pre-built form templates organized by category. Click the "Templates" button in the hero section to browse them.
- Contact Form: Collect inquiries from visitors with name, email, phone, and message fields (5 fields).
- Feedback Form: Gather feedback with star ratings and open-ended questions (4 fields).
- Quick Survey: Multi-question survey with various question types for comprehensive data collection (6 fields).
- Event Registration: Capture registrations with name, email, company, and custom fields (7 fields).
Filter templates by category using the tabs at the top of the drawer: All, Contact, Feedback, Survey, or Registration. Click "Use Template" on any card to start creating a form with that template pre-selected.
Dashboard & Stats
The Forms dashboard gives you an at-a-glance overview of your form activity through four stat cards:
- Total Forms: The total number of forms you have created.
- Responses: The total number of submissions received across all forms.
- Completion Rate: The average percentage of visitors who complete and submit your forms.
- Unread: The number of new responses you have not yet reviewed.
These stats update in real time as new responses come in and as you review submissions.
Status Pipeline
Forms are organized by status using the pipeline tabs below the stats cards:
- All: Shows every form regardless of status.
- Published: Forms that are live and accepting responses. Clicking a published form takes you to the Responses view.
- Draft: Forms still being built or edited. Clicking a draft form opens the Form Builder.
- Closed: Forms that are no longer accepting responses. Clicking a closed form opens the Form Builder for editing.
Each tab shows a count badge so you can see how many forms are in each status at a glance.
Views & Sorting
Switch between two display modes using the view toggle in the dynamic island:
- Grid View: Visual cards showing the form icon, name, description, status badge, linked project, response count, and unread count. Each card is color-coded by the form's theme color.
- List View: A compact table with columns for Form, Status, Responses, Completion rate, and Created date. Ideal for scanning many forms quickly.
Sort your forms using the sort dropdown in the dynamic island:
- Newest: Most recently created forms first.
- Oldest: Earliest created forms first.
- Name: Alphabetical order by form name.
- Responses: Forms with the most responses first.
Your preferred view is saved to local storage and remembered across sessions.
Search
Use the search bar in the hero section to find forms by name. Search is debounced for smooth performance - results update automatically as you type. Click the clear button (X) or press Escape to reset the search and show all forms again.
Search works together with status filters. For example, you can search for a form name while viewing only Published forms.
Right-click or click the three-dot menu on any form card to access the context menu with these actions:
- Edit Form - Open the Form Builder to modify fields and settings
- View Responses - See all submissions for the form
- Copy Link - Copy the form's shareable URL to your clipboard
- Duplicate - Create a copy of the form with all its fields and settings
- Publish / Unpublish - Toggle whether the form is live and accepting responses
- Delete - Permanently remove the form and all its responses (requires confirmation)
When you have more than 12 forms, pagination controls appear at the bottom of the page. Use the Previous and Next buttons to navigate between pages. The current page number and total page count are displayed between the buttons.
Best Practices
Start with a Template
Templates give you a proven starting point with the right field types already configured. Customize from there rather than building every form from scratch.
Link Forms to Projects
Connecting a form to a project keeps everything in context. Client intake forms, feedback surveys, and registration forms all make more sense when tied to the work they support.
Monitor Your Unread Count
Check the Unread stat card regularly so new submissions do not go unnoticed. Respond to inquiries promptly to maintain a professional experience.
Close Forms When Done
When a form has served its purpose, close it rather than deleting it. This preserves all response data while preventing new submissions.
Duplicate for Variations
Need a similar form for a different event or campaign? Duplicate an existing form and tweak the details instead of recreating it from scratch.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I share a form with someone?
Publish the form first, then click the three-dot menu on the form card and select "Copy Link." This copies a shareable URL to your clipboard that you can send via email, message, or embed on a website.
Can I edit a form after it has been published?
Yes. Click the three-dot menu and select "Edit Form" to open the Form Builder. You can modify fields and settings at any time, even while the form is live and accepting responses.
What happens when I close a form?
Closing a form stops it from accepting new responses. All existing responses are preserved and remain accessible through the View Responses action. You can reopen a closed form by publishing it again.
What is the difference between closing and deleting a form?
Closing a form preserves the form and all its response data while simply stopping new submissions. Deleting a form permanently removes the form and all associated responses. Deletion cannot be undone.
Can I link a form to a project after creating it?
You can connect a form to a project when creating it using the "Link to Project" dropdown in the New Form drawer. To change the project link later, edit the form in the Form Builder.
How do I see responses for a specific form?
Click the three-dot menu on the form card and select "View Responses," or simply click on a published form card to go directly to the Responses page.
